Turismo rurale nel Borgo Medievale di S.Pio di Fontecchio L'Aquila
Abruzzo - Italy

The small village of S. Pio di Fontecchio lies in Abruzzo, 25 km east of L’Aquila. Founded in the Middle Age, it kept unchanged its layout in the course of the centuries: small stone houses connected by arches, crossed by narrow cobbled lanes in paving, enjoying its precious tranquillity away from mass tourism.

Three ancient rural buildings form the complex “Alle Vecchie Querce” (The Old Oaks). Each apartment has been fully refurbished to join the fascination with our past with the comforts of the present. Every house has an independent entrance leading to a terrace or a green space. It is the ideal starting point to discover the green heart of the Sirente Velino Natural Park.
